Meet the Strongheart Aberdeen Team
The Strongheart Martial Arts Academy of Aberdeen Instructors and Assistant Instructors under the direction of the Southern Prairie Regional Director and 6th Dan Master Black Belt Nathan Schutz.
Master Maryah Wilson
Head Instructor
Master Maryah is a Kukkiwon Taekwondo certified 4th Dan Master Black Belt, a Cchung Ryoung Hapkido Federation 3rd Dan Black Belt, and a Kumdo and Kumbup 3rd Gup. In addition, Master Maryah holds a BA in English from Northern State University, where she started her martial arts career in 2009, under the direction of 6th Dan Master Instructor Nathan Schutz and 5th Dan Master Instructor Naomi Even-Aberle.

In 2014, she became Head Instructor of Strongheart Martial Arts Academy of Aberdeen under Master Nathan Schutz's direction.
Mr. Shane Bruckner
Assistant Instructor
Mr. Shane Bruckner is a Kukkiwon Taekwondo certified 3rd Dan Black Belt, a Cchung Ryoung Hapkido Federation 3rd Dan Black Belt, and a Kumdo/Kumbup 5th gup. He started his martial arts journey at Norther State University Taekwondo Club in 2010.

In 2017, he started a gym in Webster, SD, where he is the current Head Instructor while also assisting in Aberdeen's Main Gym.
Mr. Tyler Anderson
Assistant Instructor
Mr. Tyler Anderson is a certified 3rd Dan Black Black Belt, a Cchung Ryoung Hapkido Federation 3rd Dan Black Belt, and a 3rd gup in Kumdo and Kumbop. He started his career in martial arts at Northern State University where he got a BA in Graphic Arts and Visual Design. He began under 6th degree Master Nathan Schutz and 5th degree Master Naomi Even-Aberle.
Mr. Alex Rudebusch
Assistant Instructor
Mr. Alex is a Kukkiwon Taekwondo Certified 1st Dan Black Belt, a Cchung Ryoung Hapkido Federation 1st Dan Black Belt, and just started his Kumdo/Kumbup journey. He started in 2011 at the age of 4 and is a current graduate of Aberdeen Central High School.

He will soon be off to the joing the Army National Guard before then heading off to college to study robotics.
Miss Jasmine Rudebusch
Assistant Instructor
Miss Jasmine is a Kukkiwon Certified 1st Dan Black Belt, a Cchung Ryoung Hapkido Federation red belt, and started her training in Kumdo and Kumbop. Her martial arts career began in 2011 at the age of 6 and graduated from Aberdeen Central High School in 2024. She shines with the kids classes and assists at both the main gym and ARCC classes.
Mr. Eli Just
Assistant Instructor
Mr. Eli is a Cchung Ryoung Hapkido Federation Black Belt, and a colored belt in Taekwondo. He started his martial arts journey at Strongheart in 2019, though came with some previous knowledge of other martial arts.
